Well after much work, much coffee and emotional outpouring, I’m pleased to report the first draft of the as-yet-untitled Book Two is now completed. I’ve even attached a photo below in case people don’t believe me. Of course, it’s entirely possible I’ve just written one page and photographed a stack of black copier paper – but I’ll just have to ask you to trust me on that.
Of course, all writing is re-writing, so I’m sure the finished version is still about a decade or two away – but it’s nice to know I’m making progress. At least a lot more progress than I did on the first book. Anyway, thanks for all the support people. It’s very much appreciated.
After much anticipation, the final artwork has arrived and I have to say the people at Black Rose Writing have really outdone themselves with this cover. I’m very pleased with the way they’ve captured Ellen (on the right) and Vale (on the left) – my two favourite characters in this story.
This book is set for release on June 25 this year.
So…what do you place on a blog site when waiting for the book to hit the shelves? Do you want detail of the chapters? Perhaps some spoilers? Do you want to know how it ends?
Hmmm…maybe I should think of something else.
So instead of telling you how the detail about how all my characters overcome evil and live happily ever after, I thought I’d share the world of Kovalith with you. Kovalith (also known as The Forge) is a world created by the gods centuries ago. It was an amusement for a time. A half finished project that eventually bored them so that one by one they left.
Today Kovalith is a land torn between the two gods who chose to remain: Bythe the Steelmonger who oversees his militant Iron Union in the west, and Maelene the Blessed Mother who rules over the Outland Alliance in the east.
